This is the first time the Neeson is returning to the world of Star Wars since he starred in the 1999 film The Phantom Menace. Neeson was slated to make a cameo appearance at the end of Revenge of the Sith but got tied up with his commitments with Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins.
Like he appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, Neeson was to return as Qui-Gon to console Yoda near the conclusion of the film but the footage was never shot. But while he wasn’t able to reprise his role then, Neeson is back for the final episode of The Clone Wars and fans couldn’t be more giddy to have him back.
