The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has arrived on Netflix and not only are we getting the complete and total series all in one place, but a familiar face is returning to the series in a big way. Well, it would be more accurate to say the voice of this character is returning, as Liam Neeson is back for the final season of The Clone Wars and will appearing in a few episodes of the show.
Netflix, which acquired a lucrative exclusive streaming deal from Disney and Lucasfilm, has gotten behind the release of the unaired final season and have dropped a trailer that includes part of the cameo by Neeson.
Check it out, here:
This is the first time that Neeson will be returning to the world of Star Wars since he starred in the 1999 film The Phantom Menace. Neeson was slated to make a cameo appearance at the end of Revenge of the Sith but got tied up with his commitments with Christopher Nolan‘s Batman Begins.
Like he appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, Neeson was to return as Qui-Gon to console Yoda near the conclusion of the film but the footage was never shot. But while he wasn’t able to reprise his role then, Neeson is back for the final season of The Clone Wars and fans couldn’t be more giddy.
