In a story on Debbie Reynolds posted yesterday, Vegas Seven quietly dropped the bomb that Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd would appear in the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

From the Vegas Seven article:

"Debbie mentioned that Carrie and Billie had been working on Star Wars: The Force Awakens with “Harrison Ford… and the other boychik.” It was probably the most tepid applause ever evoked by mention of a Star Wars movie—say that to a room of fanboys with Princess Leia right there and the howling might cause permanent hearing loss."

We’re assuming that “the other boychick” whom Reynolds referred to is none other than Carrie Fisher’s Star Wars costar Mark Hamill. It’s clear that Fisher shares the same unique style of humor as her mother.

The rumor that Billie Lourd was cast in the next Star Wars film was actually first reported by Latino Review back in June.

The story; which you can read here, covered Debbie Reynolds string of farewell performances in Las Vegas during the weekend of November 7-9 at the South Point Casino. Many fans have speculated that Billie Lourd may be portraying a young Princess Leia in the new Star Wars film, perhaps during a flashback scene. It’s not hard to see the resemblance between Lourd and her mother, particularly if you compare to a younger Carrie Fisher.
