What could Star Wars have in store for us on Television?

Star Wars has an incomparably rich universe. There are numerous planets and storylines to explore. The films, however incredible and beloved they are, cannot fully explore all of the intricacies of the galaxies. We have been blessed with some great Star Wars animated series, as well as some great books an comics.

However, as a fan, I feel like we are still lacking some pivotal representations of important historical moments in the galaxy. Moments that would allow us to have full insight into the psychology of some of our favorite characters. What are some of these insights and characters you may ask? Well, I for one would like to know about those lost 10 years between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

I would like to know more about the origins of some of the most famed and powerful Jedi masters. I would love to know more about the emergence of the First Order as a power and the way the Resistance formed in response to this threat!

All of these things and more, I believe should be addressed in TV shows. In a world as magnificently complicated as this one, it is of the utmost importance to spend time supplying fans with intimate details of the universe that will allow them to submerge deeply in the characters and worlds created.

Though generally speaking, Star Wars does a good job of this, I think there are certain cracks in the foundation. Here is a list of Star Wars TV series that I think would cover all of the blank spaces in the Star Wars lore and provide fans with a comprehensive guide to the universe we all love. Star Wars

25. Darth Maul

In my humble opinion, Darth Maul is the coolest Sith in the Star Wars canon. I’m so glad they found a way to bring him back in Clone Wars and Rebels (however impossible it is for someone to be chopped in half and survive) because I always felt like he did not get his due time in The Phantom Menace. With barely any dialogue, Darth Maul is the most underrated villain in the Star Wars canon.

Maul reminds me a lot of Anakin in some ways. He’s erratic and daring, which are two of the character traits that simultaneously make Anakin a great leader in the Clone Wars and lead him to his ultimate destruction.

I think that this series should focus on, not only Darth Maul’s life after his inexplicable revival, but also his sad beginnings. In his youth, he was taken from his home planet of Dathomir and trained to be a Sith Lord by Darth Sidious. I think the background of the Sons of Dathomir is so fascinating and sad. We see a little more of this later in the Clone Wars series, but I would love to see that explored intricately in a full-fledged series surrounding the character of Darth Maul.

24. Younglings animated series

There were a few episodes in The Clone Wars that focused on some very plucky younglings. It allowed us to see some of the cool things that younglings go through as a part of their training. In one episode, the group of younglings goes to Illum where they find the crystals for the lightsabers.

Before that, there wasn’t a film that showcased the way that Jedi got their sabers. I think it would be really interesting to have a series that focused on the younglings training. This would give viewers a lot of insight into the process of becoming a Jedi.

Perhaps we could even follow a particular group of younglings through their training and follow them into their Padawan years and eventually to their Jedi Knight years. One reason that a lot of people love Harry Potter is that you get to watch Harry grow up.

It would be cool to recreate that effect with younglings in the Star Wars Universe. Getting to see them grow and develop would be an awesome thing for fans. We get to see that a little bit with Anakin, but there are large chunks of his Jedi upbringing that we miss.

I think this would do well as a live action show. It could be a Disney style show that appeals to tween audiences. Having a group of young Jedi they get to “grow up

23. C-3PO and R2 mini-series

While C-3P0 might be considered annoying by some, it is universally accepted that R2D2 is one of the most beloved characters of all time. I know for a fact that R2 D2 is one of Ashley Eckstein’s favorite characters in the whole series and that alone makes him awesome. I think that a Forces of Destiny style show (one that ranges between 2 – 3 minutes) would do incredibly well. Children especially love this dynamic duo and I think the show would do really well if geared toward children.

The Clone Wars series briefly explores a variety of events with these two (and the occasional ancillary) droids. These adventures showcase the bravery and importance of the Droids in the quest for Galactic peace.

In one of the Star Wars comics, we get an explanation as to how C-3Po loses his arm and gets the funny red one that we see in The Force Awakens.I think that it would be interesting to see in an animated series feature the way in which C-3PO loses his arm and replaces it with the red one in honor of his fallen brother in arms.

I think doing the animation in the style of Clone Wars would be great. It could essentially be an offshoot of that show. It could cover all of the adventures that these two have that we don’t get to see because they are not the focus of Clone Wars.

22. Porg animated series

You may not agree with me, but I think that the Porgs may be the cutest addition to the Star Wars universe. They’re like a puffin/gerbil hybrid and I just love them! I think that a short YouTube series like Forces of destiny would be a great way to get these little guys out there as much as possible!

Kids love them, (most) adults love them, and I think that little-animated stories featuring a variety of Porg related adventures would be a crowd pleaser! The content could range all the way from their daily lives on the island to some adventures with Chewie. Maybe we’ll even get to see them interact with grumpy old Luke. Maybe they will even cheer him up slightly with their cuteness.

This show would obviously be targeted to younger children, but I think adults (like myself) would enjoy it too. Or, even better, an Ewoks and Porgs joint series would be the best. Unfortunately, the Ewoks would eat some Porg for supper, so maybe it’s not a hot idea after all.

21. Padme’s transition from Queen to Senator

This series would be like the Obi-Wan and Anakin series in that it would cover the years between the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. However, this series would focus on Padme and her years as both Queen and Senator. We see in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith Padme Amidala is a very influential senator. We know also that she served queen for two terms and she was so beloved by the people that they tried to change the constitution so that she could serve again.

She is so young in that first film (only 14) and so there is a lot of growing up that must have happened in those eight lost years between the first and second film. I would love to have a show that focuses on her development as a queen. I would love to see what she does during her reign that so endears her to her people. How does she make Naboo a better place? How does she grow as an individual?

I would also love to see how she transitioned from Queen to Senator. She is obviously well respected and well liked by the Senate. We get to see a lot of her senatorial experience in the animated series the Clone Wars, but I would love to see how she becomes so well respected. Ideally, this would a live action series. It would be great if they could bring Natalie Portman back to the part.

20. Cassian and K2-SO animated series.

I think this would probably do best as an animated show in the style of Rebels. Despite the fact that Cassian is sort of a severe character, I’d like for this show to be light. I think it would be something that younger kids would enjoy. Cassian Andor has been in the rebellion since he was six years old, so there is obviously a lot of material to work with here.

Plus, we could go back to his childhood on a Separatist world — that’s right, Cassian is of this origins. Knowing what I know of his true colors now, I’m reminded of “heroes on both sides” from the Revenge of the Sith crawl and Clone Wars episode.

Lastly, there are many unspeakable acts that he references in Rogue One that was done for the greater good. Seeing those fold-out will be heart-breaking and add many more layers to Cassian. Let’s not forget about K2, where we can dive into his origins as well, learning more about the Imperials in the process.

19. National Geographic style showing different species/creatures of the Star Wars Universe

This may seem like an impossible feat, but I would love to see some sort of National Geographic type show that walks fans through the different species and animals of the Star Wars universe. Each episode might feature a different planet and in that episode, we’d get the opportunity to learn about the different types of species that inhabit that specific planet.

I’m envisioning a Morgan Freeman voice-over that goes into detail about the various habitats, the habits and customs of the more advanced species, the part each species plays in the planet’s ecosystem, and just generally what they contribute to their world. Or maybe if we’re feeling wild we could opt for Snoop Dog (or is it Snoop Lion, now? I can’t keep up) to do a voice-over like in that hilarious video with the otters.

I personally am incredibly interested in knowing more about those crystallized foxes that show up in The Last Jedi trailer on Crait. They are absolutely beautiful and I’m sure they have a fascinating place in the planet’s ecosystem! And, OF COURSE, there will be an episode that focuses heavily on the adorable new additions to the Star Wars universe: the Porgs!

As a Star Wars fan, it can be hard to remember all of the names of each species that shows up in the canon films, comics, TV shows, and books. This show would be a visual encyclopedia for fans so they could become familiarized with all canon species. I think that would be fantastic!

18. Poe Dameron – Wonder Years-style

Though he may not have been intended to be a significant character in the Star Wars saga, Poe Dameron has found his way into our hearts. That may, of course, have something to do with the fact that Oscar Isaac’s jaw is so sharp that it could slice butter. It looks like he’s going to have a much bigger role in the upcoming film:

The Last Jedi. So, if we’re going to be seeing more of Poe Dameron, it’d be nice to get more of a background on him. There is one comic but it does not cover much of his upbringing. With his interesting parentage, it’d be cool to see a Wonder Years-style show exploring his teenage years. That way we’d get to learn more about him and his impressive parents.

Poe’s relationship with Finn was an awesome addition to the new trilogy. It reminded me a little bit of the relationship between Luka and Han in the originals. So, now that we’re getting a Han Solo backstory it’d be cool to get a Poe Dameron backstory too.

17. Mini-series of the Rebel/Imperial battles

Let’s be honest. While we all love the romance and drama in the Star Wars stories, but what we love the most are the epic space battles. This is one of the reasons the Clone Wars series is so exciting; it highlights the exciting battles that take place in space and on a variety of fascinating worlds within the galaxy.

There are so many imperial battles that take place and we get to see so few of them. A mini-series covering some of the epic battles that take place during the Empire’s reign would make for a highly exciting and visually impressive show. I would certainly watch it!

I’m sure we would all love to see the battle of Jakku. This is the final significant battle of the Galactic Civil war and it is a pivotal moment for the Rebellion. This is where the Rebellion secures their victory! Such an important battle and yet we never see a visual representation of it.

We get a little taste of that battle in the book Empire’s End, but seeing that unfold in live-action would be epic. That would also tie into the origins of Poe Dameron — more on him later — with both of his parents heavy players within the final battles of the Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

Also, a significant amount of the action in The Force Awakens revolves around Jakku, so it’d be nice to get a little background on that. Maybe it would even give us a little insight into Rey’s past and heritage (something we are all dying to know more about)!

16. Adventures of Han and Chewie

Han and Chewie. Hearing those names just makes my geek heart melt. When Han Solo went down with Starkiller Base at the hands of his son Kylo Ren, all of his stories seem to have been lost.

Fear not, Star Wars fans, we have a Han Solo film on the horizon, with hopefully some more on the way. An animated version of the Wookiee and the scruffy smuggler would be perfect, which can encompass two eras.

We could venture into their Imperial entanglements working for Jabba, or dance around the area leading up to The Force Awakens. Visiting his home planet of Corellia and the Wookiee home-world of Kashyyyk are musts while traveling the galaxy as a whole would be so much fun.

This would be a nice follow up to the upcoming film, and a good complimentary piece to the Aftermath: Life Debt novel.

15. Inferno Squad

An intricate squad, four to be exact, Inferno Squad is around for one purpose, and one goal only; to secretly protect and even cover up, potential threats to the Galactic Empire. It’s, Iden Versio is a graduate of the top school on Coruscant.

Her coolest feat is that she piloted a TIE Fighter pilot during the Battle of Yavin, one of only a small number of survivors, which includes the “evil” Sith Lord, Darth Vader.

She is just 22 years of age during the events of the Battle of Yavin, yet someone who is highly respected for someone being so young. The group is constructed of four Imperial stars: Commander Iden (Versio) as the group’s leader, Gideon Hask as her second in command, Seyn Merana, and Del Meeko.

During the Battle of Yavin, Iden Versio had the top kill count of any combat pilot during the battle. More than the six kills of the legendary pilot, Darth Vader himself. No wonder the young Imperial was assigned as the leader of Inferno Squad with her top-notch flying and sharp-shooting skills.

A New Hope will never be viewed in the same light again, especially during the Battle of Yavin, knowing that Iden is a TIE Fighter pilots in that classic space struggle. The question is, which one pilot is she?

Seeing this unfold in live-action would be the bee’s knees, plus we have the perfect person to play Iden, who already plays her in Battlefront II via screen-capture, so the stars have aligned for this to happen.

14. Republic Commando (cop show style)

Though the 2005 video game for the original Xbox is no longer canon, Lucasfilm could resurrect this classic story by bringing it to the small screen. The game featured an elite unit of Clonetroopers, dubbed the Delta Squad, that is tasked by Republic strategists with assassinating some of the Separatists’ key leaders.

Some of the missions conflict with canon storylines in the Clone Wars animated series, so the plot would have to be tweaked, but the concept would probably be well-received by fans. There is already a canon version of the Delta Squad, the Arc Troopers, that appears in both Clone Wars series. Anything with clones, enforcing the law — especially both — is must-see TV.

I believe this show would be awesome in a “cop show” style. Each episode could feature a different planet, city, or setting. When I say cops, I mean the actual show Cops, which would be a fun way of displaying the scum and villainy in the galaxy but do it in a fun way. Odds are that level 1515 would be heavily showcased in this styled show. “Bad boys, bad boys…”

13. Obi-Wan and Anakin on Cervalion IV

I read the Obi-Wan and Anakin comics and absolutely fell in love with the storyline about Cervalion IV. The maddening part about that storyline was that they provided so little background into that world and the reason that it is in shambles.

This comic is amazing for so many reasons. Not only do we learn a lot about Anakin’s character and his relationship to both Obi-Wan and Chancellor Palpatine. It also gives the background to an incredibly interesting planet that has been rocked by civil war. By the time Anakin and Obi-Wan enter the scene the entire surface has already been destroyed.

There isn’t a lot of information given on this planet but I think that a series that goes through the details of the civil war on this planet would be fascinating and a worthwhile endeavor.

If they ever ran out of ideas, they could just do the full ten years between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, with so many ideas coming to mind. Anakin going to Illum to construct his first lightsaber would be the coolest idea, with training within the walls of the Jedi temple being a close second.

12. Darth Vader

I know I’ve mentioned Lords of the Sith a lot, but it is an amazing book with so much illuminating content (seriously if you haven’t read it yet you better put that on your reading list immediately) that I feel deserves some show time. What the novel does is it begins to unpack the heavy, manipulative layers of the relationship between Darth Vader and the Emperor.

I think that a show that generally delves into the emergence of the Empire and the development of the master and apprentice relationship. Without further exploration into this dynamic, I don’t think we are able to fully appreciate the Original Trilogy. The relationship is so complicated and dark and we don’t have the opportunity to see that.

We see Anakin growing in power in Return of the Jedi, but by the time we see Vader in A New Hope he is portrayed as one of the most powerful Sith of all time. His ascension to true power must have been truly phenomenal (and terrifying) to witness, but we miss that whole developmental period that takes place during the interim between films. I would love to see the inclusion of things like Vader’s forging of his lightsaber (which is covered in the Vader comics).

I think there is something lacking in our experience of Vader as the most powerful Sith, and it’s that we don’t see that rise to power in its entirety. I think that with a series covering this period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope we would allow us, the fans, to fully enjoy the Original Trilogy.

11. Leia

Leia is one of the most beloved characters of the whole Star Wars series. Carrie Fisher is, and always will be, our beloved princess. She taught generations of girls that they don’t need to be rescued, but that they can, in fact, rescue themselves. She is the heroine that all of us needed.

I think we’d all love to see the formative years of our favorite rebel princess and the way her life develops on the planet of Alderaan (which by the way is a beautiful planet and should be featured in more Star Wars films and series).

Her life on Alderaan was recently explored in the new novel Leia, Princess of Alderaan, and I think that this thematic content, as well as more from her childhood, would be an interesting show. This show could explore a multitude of interesting themes.

Of course, we’d love to see the beginning of Leia’s involvement in the rebellion and how she becomes such a pivotal character in the development of the movement. It thrills me that she is a leader in the rebellion and eventually becomes a general in the resistance.

Leia faces so much adversity her life, and it is so encouraging that she, despite her struggles, she is strong and stays devoted to her cause, becoming a powerful force for change in the galaxy.

Another thing that I would love to see Star Wars tackle is the topic of adoption. Leia and Lile are both adopted and I would love to see Star Wars delve into the topic of adoption. I have always considered Star Wars to be a medium that explores difficult topics and adoption is one of those things. I would love to see Star Wars explore the way that this affects both Luke and Leia.

10. Luke’s Jedi Academy

The 30-year gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens for Luke Skywalker is shrouded in almost complete mystery. The Shattered Empire comic and a few references in Leia canon novels are all we have. We recently learned in the trailer for The Last Jedi that Luke barely survived the onslaught himself. What leads up to those events?

We do know Luke withdrew from Galactic affairs and spent his whole life rebuilding the Jedi Order. Then his nephew, the new chosen one destroys it all, sending Luke into a state of shock and then exile.

We could go the animated route or we have the perfect look alike in Sebastian Stan, who would fill the role perfectly. The best aspect would be Luke training a young Ben Solo, where we would learn clues on why the young Solo was so obsessed with Vader and what led to his and the Jedi’s demise, spiraling into a very dark path. Also learning about some of the other Jedi hopefuls, whose life ended prematurely — sound familiar — would be so enriching, yet tragic.

How fun would it be to have a complimentary video game of Luke Skywalker tracking down Jedi artifacts, visiting worlds rich in both the Dark Side and the Light, as well as playing peacekeeper in the process? Yes, please!

9. Rebels style show about beginning of first order/the beginning of the resistance

A series that focuses in equal parts on the development of the First Order and the Resistance would be an awesome series! We know a little bit about the origins of the First Order. What we don’t know is how the movement consolidated under Snoke. Essentially, the First Order is a resurrection of the Empire, which at first glance seems like a somewhat cheap copy of what happens in A New Hope. However, perhaps if we got the background would have a better understanding of the whole thing and it would be a far more enjoyable thing for fans.

It would also be interesting to see how the resistance was formed. And I think all fans would love to see how Princess Leia becomes General Leia. She is a hero I would be excited to follow in a TV series about this time period. Leia was never a damsel in distress and always an empowering women who is able to take matters into her own hands. We learn that firsthand in the novel Leia by Claudia Gray, where we see her development and strong, yet caring personality grow. Seeing those aspects in live-action or via animation would be a perfect addition to the epic book.

8. Live-action Clone Wars

I would be lying if I said that this wasn’t something I wanted to see just because I would love to have Ashley Eckstein play Ahsoka in a live action series. Have you seen her Ahsoka cosplay? It’s amazing and someday I aspire to own an equally high-quality Ahsoka cosplay. Ashley did such an incredible job voicing Ahsoka and it would be so awesome to see her get to suit up as the beloved character in real life.

Also, who could complain about getting to see more Ewan McGregor (who doesn’t look like he’s aged a day since the Revenge of the Sith)?! Clone Wars is by far my favorite series (I think everything I’ve written has made that fairly obvious) and I think it would be exciting in live action form. Ideally, they would round up the original cast for the prequels. Of course, there would be some new additions like Ashley and I think Cate Blanchet would make a wonderful Satine Kryze.

Also, it would be an absolute necessity that Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo get to finish the story arc. The series was supposed to end right before the beginning of Revenge of the Sith and when Disney took over the show was discontinued. It might seem extraneous to do another Clone Wars series, but I think it’d be exciting to see all of those events in live action, letting Filoni finish what he started.

7. Freedom Fighters on Ryloth

Ryloth is such a heart-breaking planet. The Twi’lek people are some of the most oppressed and exploited in the galaxy. They are habitually forced into various forms of slave labor and their planet is exploited for its spice mines.

Think about how many Twi’lek women are portrayed as sex slaves throughout the Star Wars canon. In Lords of the Sith, we get a glimpse into the seedy underworld of Ryloth where there are numerous brothels where imperials go to exploit the Twi’lek women.

We get a brief glimpse into Cham Syndulla’s resistance on Ryloth in Clone Wars and a more detailed (but still brief) glimpse in the novel Lords of the Sith. It is a highly-sophisticated operation that has taken years of recruitment and clever maneuvering to form.

Cham’s resources run deep and he has a highly competent team of Twi’lek leaders who help him come up with highly complex missions that have put a significant amount of pressure on the Empire and shut down a significant portion of their spice mining operations.

The novel Lords of the Sith gives great insight into these characters and the difficulties that come with being part of a covert movement. I think that a series in the animation style of Clone Wars would be a fascinating addition to the Star Wars canon. Even though the operation on Ryloth is just a small pocket of the resistance against the Empire, it carries a lot of weight.

The end of the Lords of the Sith shows Cham Syndulla having come to the realization that he must focus on the bigger picture. To free Ryloth he must focus on freeing the galaxy from the Empire. I would love to see more about the rise of this Twi’lek hero! Did you also know that Mace Windu has a folklore song named after him? It would be a nice touch to actually hear it within an episode.

6. Knights of the Old Republic

I only have to utter the word KOTOR to speak volumes. Lucasfilm, for some reason, is keeping this era in their back pocket. Within our limited knowledge, they could already be developing a movie or even a series. Which brings us me to our next idea.

Have you ever wanted to see the Sith as legion? Or watch the epic journey of Revan’s constant see-saw from the Dark Side to the Light? Yeah, me too. There are so many ideas, planets, and training sequences this era TV show could provide.

The stories of ancient Sith Lords and Jedi could go on for season after season. Although not technically KOTOR, (Darth) Bane could be a way to close the series out, with the Sith tearing each other apart from the inside, leaving just one lone survivor.

What are you waiting for Lucasfilm? We want KOTOR material, even if it’s just comics and novelizations, but what we really want is a mature, adult-centered TV series. Make this happen, ASAP!

5. Bounty Hunters

There are so many fascinating bounty hunter characters that repeatedly make appearances in the Star Wars Universe and I think they deserve some extra screen time. I think that a mini-series featuring some of the big bounty hunters we see throughout the films and animated series would be a great addition to Star Wars canon.

I think that continuing in the vein of Clone Wars animation, we could have an hour and a half episodes highlighting a different bounty hunter in each one. The series could focus specifically on their rise to power within the bounty hunting world.

Obviously, the crowd favorite, Boba Fett, would get an episode. We get to see a good amount of his development in Clone Wars, but it would be interesting to see what happens in the years between the end of Clone Wars and his appearance in the original trilogy.

I absolutely think that Aurra Sing should get her own episode of the mini-series. I’d personally love to know more about her background and how she came to be such a successful and menacing bounty hunter. Also, it would give us the opportunity to see that boisterous pirate king Hondo Ohnaka in action again. Maybe we’d even get a glimpse into their weird romance that’s hinted at in the Clone Wars.

Cad Bane should, of course, also get a mention. I would argue that he’s almost as fiercely awesome as Boba eventually becomes. I’d like to know what happens to him after the Clone Wars ends.

4. Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon

We got a little glimpse of a young Obi-Wan in phantom menace, but he is nearing the end of his Padawan training. I think it would be a worthy pursuit to create a series based on Obi-Wan’s Padawan years under the tutelage of Qui-Gon. From the little hints we get in Clone Wars it sounds like it was an incredibly eventful period.

Obi-Wan defies the council in order to train Anakin – a huge risk for him. He takes this risk because he loves Qui-Gon. Obviously, this is a very special master and Padawan relationship and I think it would be a treat for fans to get to see that develop. This relationship is the reason that Anakin becomes a Jedi and is, therefore, the catalyst to the entire story-line of the prequels and the original trilogy.

In The Clone Wars series, we learn that Obi-Wan has a love interest. Apparently, even old Obi toes the line in terms of the Jedi rules of conduct. When she enters the series, Satine Kryze talks to Obi-Wan about a time when he spent a whole year with Qui-Gon on Mandalore helping Satine reclaim her throne.

This is when they fell in love, and I think we would all like to see a young Obi-Wan valiantly fighting alongside Satine and battling feelings he knows he can’t have (very Romeo and Juliet, if you ask me). It’s just too bad that we can’t somehow go back in time and get an early twenties version of the ever charming Ewan McGregor to play a younger Obi!

3. Yoda/Dooku

It feels like so little is known about Count Dooku (aka Lord Tyranus). We know that he is the apprentice to Darth Sidious, we know he is the face of the Separatists, we know that he was once a member of the Jedi order and trained under Master Yoda himself. We aren’t exactly sure how to break occurs, but we know it is something painful to master Yoda (understandably so because the connection between master and Padawan is strong).

This is the period I would love to see explored. I’d love to see like a Gotham type backstory series on the mysterious Lord Tyranus. We could learn about his beginnings as a Padawan and eventually learn about his ascension to an apprentice of Darth Sidious.

I think this would make a great live action series. I envision it with sort of a dark overtone given what we know about the eventual turn to the Dark Side that Dooku experiences. It would be fascinating to watch his relationship with Master Yoda develop and eventually fall apart.

Dooku is obviously a man fueled by passion, ambition, and anger. Knowing about Dooku’s past would give us some insight into Yoda’s preoccupation with Anakin’s volatile emotions. It would be hard to find anyone as talented as the late Christopher Lee to portray a younger Dooku, but I think that it would be possible to find a suitable individual to do the character justice.

2. From the Phantom Menace to Attack of the Clones

I, for one, have always been curious about those eight lost years between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. There are some comics that cover this period, but I would love to see these adventures turned into a show. I think this would do well as a live action series.

I feel like something we gained through the Clone Wars was a development of all of these relationships that make the resolution the Return of the Sith so heart-wrenching and moving. We get to see the development of the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin after Anakin has become a Jedi Knight during Clone Wars. I would, however, love to see how they develop their relationship while Anakin is still a Padawan.

It would also provide a lot of insight into the relationship that builds between the emperor and Anakin. There is obviously a lot that goes on during those 8 years and we see in Attack of the Clones that Anakin feels a strong loyalty and connection to the Chancellor.

However, as viewers, we miss the development at that. The comics do a great job of beginning to explain this relationship, but I think that having a TV series focused on this period would really allow for fans to understand fully the manipulative power that the Chancellor wields over young Anakin.

He takes advantage of Anakin’s youth and naivete and beings to plant seeds of discontent and doubt in his mind. The influence that the Chancellor has over Anakin is It’s such a pivotal relationship and I think that, as an audience, we haven’t had the opportunity to see much of that relationship.

Another interesting thing about this kind of series is that it would showcase some of the other masters that we see on the council in their youth. It would just be a sort of exploration of the pasts of all the older, wiser Jedi Masters and their earlier days in the order. And who doesn’t want to see a young Mace Windu training at the Jedi Temple?!

1. Ahsoka’s unfinished tales

I feel like this one almost goes without saying. I have not been secretive about that fact that I absolutely love Ahsoka Tano. We get to see her grow from a young, untested Padawan eager to prove herself and watch her blossom into a self-possessed woman who walks about away from the Jedi order. When I watched the Untold Stories panel (if you haven’t watched it, go watch it RIGHT NOW), I cried.

I love what Dave Filoni was hoping to do with Ahsoka, had Clone Wars continued. After watched that panel, I felt a little robbed. I, along with every other Ahsoka fan, would have loved to see Ahsoka find her way in the underworld of Coruscant, find romance (I’m a little salty about the fact that this romance didn’t involve Lux Bonteri, but oh well), and eventually lead her own troops on Mandalore.

That is perhaps the scene I would like to see the most. It would be so beautiful to see those Stormtrooper helmets painted with replicas of Ahsoka’s face tattoos. That concept is such a beautiful tribute to Ahsoka’s growth throughout The Clone Wars series and these moments are why we love Dave Filoni so much!

Ideally, this show would pick up right after Ahsoka walks away from the Jedi temple and would go all the way up until the moment she shows up as Fulcrum in Rebels. This would tie up all the loose ends connected to her story and it would give us the opportunity to see the last moment that Filoni meant for Anakin and Ahsoka to share.

When they meet up on Mandalore Anakin has the opportunity to tell Ahsoka how proud he is of her and all she’s learned and accomplished. This is a moment we need to see!

Big fan of my husband, our brood of fur children, and all things Star Wars (and yes, that includes the prequels too)! Ahsoka Tano is my personal hero. I've been accused of being a bit of a Star Wars: The Clone Wars apologist (seriously it's amazing and everyone should watch it!!! Do it!!)! I love that I get to write about the galaxy far, far away that I love so, so much!
