Star Wars: The Bad Batch "Common Ground"

Ever since The Bad Batch rounded out its first season on Disney+ last August, Star Wars fans have been ravenous for more information about when Season 2 will drop. We know it’s happening; we don’t know when. But we might find out the official release date as early as next month.

StarWars.com made several big Celebration-related announcements this week, including several major panels attendees and at-home viewers alike won’t want to miss. The most recent addition to this list is a panel focused exclusively on The Bad Batch.

On Sunday, May 29, The Bad Batch executive producers Brad Rau (also the show’s supervising director) and Jen Corbett (head writer) will be the star panelists at Celebration’s major discussion on the show’s past — and future!

Also on the panel “to discuss highlights from the first season of the acclaimed series as well as some exciting hints of what’s to come in Season 2” are actors Dee Bradley Baker (the Bad Batch) and Michelle Ang (Omega), as well as the show’s story editor Matt Michnovetz.

So it looks like we’ll hear not just reflections on what we’ve seen so far, but also details on what’s next for Omega and the Bad Batch,

Chances are high that the second season of The Bad Batch won’t drop on Disney+ until fall at the absolute earliest. But who knows? The creatives behind the show might have some surprises waiting for us in Anaheim this May.

Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 takes place from May 26 to May 29 with more guests, panels and more to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event. Stay tuned for more coverage before and during the convention.
