The highly-praised Moses Ingram — the actor behind Inquisitor Reva in the Disney+ original series Obi-Wan Kenobi — has had several of her fellow co-stars come to her defense after some Star Wars fans exhibited racist behavior toward her. Not just toward her character, but the real-life Moses Ingram, too.

First, Ewan McGregor recorded a video calling out fans for harassing her. And now, Anakin Skywalker himself (Hayden Christensen) has spoken in her favor during a recent Entertainment Tonight interview.

“The first time I saw the first couple of episodes, I was blown away by her performance and just thought that the subtleties and nuances that she brought to this character were there and really impressive,” Christensen told the outlet. “So, I mean, I hope by the end of the series, people are coming around. I think she’s done a great job and I think [Reva] is an important character and people will come to realize that.”

Ingram’s character is a complex, ruthless villain determined to hunt down Obi-Wan Kenobi on behalf of Darth Vader. But the more the series has progressed, the more the story has hinted at Reva’s tragic past. Many believe she will be redeemed by the end of the series — if Obi-Wan can’t bring Vader back to the light, maybe he can convince Reva to turn away from the Inquisitorius and choose a better life.

While Reva’s motivations have become clearer, her exact backstory remains largely a mystery. The show has yet to confirm she was one of the Younglings that escaped Order 66 at the beginning of the first episode. Other theories have tried to suggest Reva is directly connected to other characters we’ve met in the show recently.

What we do know for certain is that Ingram has not just an entire cast of co-stars but a franchise full of supportive creators and fans behind her. Christensen’s comments of support are just one of many examples of the people who have stepped forward to denounce the “haters.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is streaming now exclusively on Disney+.
