Star Wars Celebration Anaheim Approaches

Fans of all ages and from all around the globe will be descending upon the Anaheim Convention Center in April for Star Wars Celebration. The event will be the seventh official Celebration held in the United States since Lucasfilm presented the first in Denver, Colorado in 1999. Dubbed “the ultimate Star Wars party”, this event is not to be missed by anyone who considers themselves a serious fan of the Wars. The party will take place from April 16th-19th, 2015.

Last week, the official Star Wars site announced the first celebrity guest to appear at Celebration Anaheim. Not surprisingly, that guest is none other than Star Wars Rebels Executive Producer Dave Filoni.

"Star Wars fans have come to know and respect Filoni over the last six years for his dedication to the integrity and feel of the Star Wars universe. His deep knowledge of Star Wars and his creative vision for the property made him the perfect choice to helm Star Wars: The Clone Wars as supervising director, working directly with George Lucas to produce over 100 episodes of the four-time Emmy-winning series – a rare industry milestone.Now as executive producer on the upcoming Star Wars Rebels, Filoni is leading the development of the newest Star Wars animated series, which is scheduled to premiere this October as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world. He will be appearing on the Celebration stages in April to discuss Star Wars Rebels along with some possible exclusive sneak peeks!"

Dave Filoni is certainly no stranger to Star Wars Celebration, having been a featured guest at the event since first appearing at Celebration IV in 2007.

Talented voice actor James Arnold Taylor will once again be hosting the event’s main stage. Taylor was the main stage host for Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida in 2012. The main stage will feature some of the biggest names in the Star Wars galaxy during some very entertaining and likely well attended shows. The long list of names who have graced the Celebration main stage in the past includes Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Warwick Davis, Jeremy Bulloch, Ian McDiarmid and George Lucas, among many others.

David W. Collins will serve as host of the Digital Stage at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. During past Celebration events, the Digital Stage has featured many in depth and revealing interviews with talented guests such as Ben Burtt, Dennis Muren, John Knoll, Matthew Wood and Dave Filoni.

The Behind the Scene Stage will feature popular podcasting duo Jason Swank and Jimmy “Mac” McInerney of Rebel Force Radio in their first ever outing as Star Wars Celebration hosts. This stage promises to feature many exciting surprises, guests and more.
