4. Supreme Leader Snoke from The Force Awakens is in the bacta tank.
Okay, here’s the reasoning behind this fan theory. One of the biggest mysteries about this whole bacta tank scene is the person kneeling before it. Who is he/her? The big black cloak and hood and the broad shoulders are descriptors which combined don’t fit the description of any of the new characters in the movie. Of course, someone like Director Orson Krennic, the main villain of Rogue One, could easily change clothes. But it is more intriguing to speculate that the person kneeling is someone used to wearing a black cloak and hood. Someone like Emperor Palpatine. And who would Palpatine kneel to but someone powerful like Snoke, the founder of the First Order in the sequel trilogy?
It’s a wild theory and highly unlikely. The Emperor doesn’t strike me as subservient to anyone, especially considering he murdered his own Sith master. But we can’t firmly debunk the theory that Snoke is in the bacta tank until we see the movie.
