JAKKS Pacific may be a relative newcomer to the world of Star Wars collecting, but this hasn’t stopped them coming in with a bang and making a BIG first impression thanks to their awesome large-scale Star Wars heroes and villains.

The Star Wars collecting community was suitably impressed with the initial line of figures launched last year, which included a highly detailed 501st Legion Clone Trooper, a striking Clone Shock Trooper and an imposing 31” Darth Vader with real fabric cape. These figures are still available in-store and currently priced at a very respectable $29.99.

Following the huge success of this large-scale line of action figures JAKKS Pacific have seriously ramped up their launch schedule for 2014 and beyond by adding a number of new characters which are sure to turn heads.

These new additions were unveiled at SDCC last month with notable appearances from a 31” Stormtrooper, Luke and Han in Stormtrooper Disguise (Toys R Us exclusive), and the Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels. The smaller 20” lineup featured a couple of exclusives including Boba Fett (Walmart exclusive) and Darth Maul (Walgreens exclusive) alongside Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Scout Trooper. The real show-stopper came in the form of a 31” Shadow Stormtrooper, which was limited to 500 pieces and retailed exclusively at Comic-Con for $50. Due to the popularity of this new breed of giant figures, collectors are now paying upwards of $200 to secure a place for this exclusive figure within their collection.

To promote the latest line of Star Wars Rebels giant figures, JAKKS Pacific have posted a video offering us a behind-the-scenes look at what they have in store. The video, part of their excellent JAKKS Unwrapped series, features four new figures in the form of an 18” Ezra, a 19” Kanan, a 18” TIE Pilot and a 31” Inquisitor. Each figure comes with their own weapon and incorporates seven points of articulation. Prices range from $20 – $40.

If you have enough space in the Star Wars room and you’re keen to add these figures to your collection, then head down to your local store as they’re just starting to hit the shelves now!
