If you haven’t been following along with legendary stage and screen actor Sir Christopher Lee lately, you’ve definitely been missing out.
Thanks to a report from music news site Metal Injection today, Star Wars fans will be pleased to learn that the 92 year old British star has been keeping busy post Revenge of the Sith. In fact, he is releasing his second ever holiday themed heavy metal single.
From the Metal Injection report:
"In what is seemingly becoming an annual tradition, 92-year-old actor Sir Christopher Lee, famous for playing Saruman the White in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, is releasing another holiday single just in time for Christmas.The renowned metalhead has released a track called “Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing”, a playful take on the old classic “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.”"
No, this isn’t a joke at all. It’s actually quite good. You can listen to a teaser of the forthcoming track, in the video below:

This foray into heavy metal is nothing new for Sir Christopher Lee. In 2005, Lee recorded with symphonic metal band Rhapsody, on a single titled The Magic of the Wizard’s Dream.
After working with several other groups including Manowar, Lee released his first solo album in 2010, titled Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross.
