Star Wars: Commander to debut new game-play features at Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars: Commander will have a presence at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, in just a couple of weeks, starting on April 16th. Disney Interactive has released some of the highlights that attendees at the celebration can expect.

     “Star Wars: Commander Fans Choose Their Faction at Star Wars™: Celebration – Star Wars™: Commander Showcases New Gameplay and In-Depth Look at Star Wars University”

     “Star Wars™: Commander”, the free-to-play combat strategy game featuring the full array of vehicles, weapons and technology from the Star Wars™ universe, will be debuting brand-new gameplay features in booth #1345 at Star Wars™ Celebration April 16-19. Fans will also get a more in-depth look at the creation of the game, with an exclusive glimpse into future content, during a Star Wars™ University session.”

     “On Friday, April 17 at 2pm in Room 206AB, Star Wars: Commander Executive Producers Nathan Etter from Disney Interactive and Matt Fillbrandt from Lucasfilm will be holding a one-hour Star Wars University session where they will dive into how the team has translated classic technology, vehicles, and heroes into this popular mobile game, discuss some tips & tricks to succeeding and becoming a top rated Commander, as well as unveil some brand-new features that will soon completely change the way the game is played.”

     “During Star Wars Celebration, fans are invited to play the game and take a photo to show off their alliance to either the Empire or Rebellion.  Fans will be able to share their faction choice by entering their phone number at an iPad station and text themselves the photo. Fans can then upload the image to any social channel, including Facebook and Twitter, with the hashtag #ImperialCommander OR #RebelCommander. Those who share their photo will also be able to display their faction by receiving, and wearing, a reversible Star Wars: Commander wristband.”

     “In addition, attendees of Star Wars Celebration will be the first players to enjoy brand new, unreleased gameplay features. Fans will have to go to the booth and play to find out what they are.”

     “Players can join the battle for control of the galaxy by downloading the game from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Store, and Windows Phone Store.”
