New Her Universe Star Wars Fashion Is Coming To Celebration

As a young woman and a Star Wars fan, I love the idea of both showing off my fandom and looking stylish in a piece of clothing made especially for my gender. And the Her Universe company, founded by the voice actress behind The Clone Wars‘ Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein, has done just that. Over the years, Ashley and her team have created a line of Star Wars and other geeky-themed apparel & accessories (such as Marvel Comics, Star Trek, and Doctor Who) that includes anything from dresses (!) to skirts to plain-old (but feminine cut) t-shirts.

On April 9th, we got the official word from the blog of the fashion company: New Her Universe Star Wars fashion is coming to Celebration (and the online store) next weekend!

Here’s what Ashley had to say:

"“Star Wars Celebration is finally here! This is one of my favorite fan events and we have been busy planning and designing a unique shopping and community experience. We have a brand new fashion collection for women and girls including an extended size range, plus dressing rooms to try everything on!”"

Check out a sneak peek of the awesome array of new looks for both grown-up and not-as-grown up fangirls:

Lightsabers galore!

Some glow-in-the-dark swag for the girls’ side of the Star Wars child demographic.

X-Wings and Cloud City? A cardigan and a full-skirted dress? Yes, pleeeeeease!

Unless, of course, the Empire is more your style. After all, how can you go wrong with AT-ATs and Imperial gray?

These are just adorable! It’s also great to see a cute dress for the little girls’ line.

Two words: Yub nub!

For the more sophisticated fan.

Celebrate Ahsoka’s return to the Star Wars universe with an “Ahsoka Lives” top!

Perfect for lounging…

This one is cool, too (though the fit looks a little funky to me, but maybe that’s just me)!

And finally, after you’ve shopped till you dropped at Celebration, you can refresh yourself with some cupcakes (provided by Lil’ Miss Short Cakes) from Salacious Crumb’s Bake Shop inside the Her Universe booth! Be sure and support the cause, as well, and buy yourself one of these t-shirts; Salacious doesn’t look like he can take no for an answer!

"“…I wouldn’t live up to my nickname of ‘The Cupcake Lady’ if I didn’t bring cupcakes!” Ashley says. “There will be an exclusive cupcake available for sale in our booth everyday but there will only be 150 of these delicious Star Wars themed treats per day so get yours before they sell out!”"

You can catch Ashley and get her autograph at Celebration in the Autograph Hall on Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm, Friday from 12 pm to 2 pm, Saturday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and on Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.

And for those of us who can’t make it to Celebration in Anaheim this year, don’t think you’ll be missing out on all of the delicious new Her Universe apparel and accessories! According to the blog post on HerUniverse.com, we will be able to find most of the items on the website the weekend of Celebration.

Happy shopping (also, go ahead and explore the Her Universe website now, and keep an eye out for some clearanced Star Wars shirts!)!
