19. Alan Dean Foster to Write The Force Awakens Novelization
Star Wars has always been obsessed with symmetry and poetic structure over the entire franchise, so it seems fitting that the writer of The Force Awakens novel will be Alan Dean Foster, who wrote the very first Expanded Universe novel Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, a non-canon adventure that took place between Episodes IV and V. Foster first ripped open the Star Wars universe to let in new characters, and now he’ll help bring fans into a new era.
