1. The Force Awakens Trailer Shuts Down the Internet
“Chewie, we’re home.”
Those words were the perfect way to end that trailer, which may or may not have broken the Internet. The Force Awakens will finally take fans back home to a galaxy far, far away, and it’s preparing us for when we find out that things aren’t quite the same as they were 30 years ago. They neither can nor should be.
But the seventh episode appears to be designed to soften that blow for fans by including just enough nostalgic elements to help us accept that the franchise is moving on and growing up, just as its fans have. It may not be easy, but ultimately, it’s all part of a much brighter, more inclusive future for the galaxy.
