2. Greedo

(Write-up by David Harris (Razor), Dork Side of the Force Editor in Chief)

Who shot first? Was it Han Solo, the smooth talking, fast flying smuggler? Or, was it Greedo, the green, bug-eyed Rodian? There are arguments to be made for both sides, but if you fall in lime with scum-bag bounty hunters, then Greedo is your guy.

Greedo’s time on screen was brief, and yet he became such a polarizing character. Perhaps it was because his death involved Han Solo’s first on screen kill, or maybe it was the manner in which Greedo died, but all these years later, and we are still talking about who shot first, Han or Greedo?

One thing is clear about Greedo, however, and that is that he hated the Republic. No matter where he lived, whether it was on Tatooine or Nar Shaddaa, the Rodian mercenary turned on the Republic, every chance he got. In the end, regardless of who shot first, Greedo got what he deserved.
