Star Wars: The Force Awakens Concept Art for Han Solo – Poe Dameron – Finn from Vanity Fair France
A photo has surfaced recently, of concept art for Poe Dameron, Han Solo, and Finn. The artwork comes from the French edition of the Vanity Fair Star Wars: The Force Awakens shoot with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. The picture depicts Han Solo without double blasters (a rumored accessory for The Force Awakens), Poe in his X-Wing pilot gear, and Finn out of his First Order stormtrooper armor.
Thanks to the awesome folks over at Making Star Wars, we were able to get this picture and dissect its many details. Many rumors have Finn and Poe meeting in the Star Destroyer above the planet of Jakku, and when the two commandeer a TIE-fighter, they fly it to the surface of the desert planet. Once there, Poe gives (and this is where the rumor diverges with other rumors) some of his “street” clothes to Poe so that he will fit in to the inhabitants of the Jakku settlement.
Once there, Finn meets Rey, and the two, along with BB-8, escape an attack by the First Order, and pilot the Milenium Falcon off world to a huge freighter, where they meet Han and Chewie. This is where we get the line from The Force Awakens second teaser trailer, “Chewie, we’re home.”
It’s unclear at this point, just were Poe is during this big escape from Jakku. Some rumors have him captured by either Captian Phasma (the chromed out trooper played by Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie), or Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
One thing is for sure, however, the closer we get to September 4, Force Friday, the closer we get to finding out more about these characters and what their roles will be, come December 18, when Star War: The Force Awakens debuts in theaters.
