This scene depicts the evens of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when newly minted Jedi Master Luke Skywalker approached Jabba the Hutt’s palace, in order to free his friends. Of course, as you well know, things didn’t go according to plan and Luke fell into the Rancor Pit, where he used his newly honed Force powers to defeat the slavering beast.

From the official Toys”R”Us press release:

"Star Wars™ The Black Series Jabba’s Rancor™ Pit from Hasbro®Star Wars™ fans can re-create one of the biggest battles and missions in the Star Wars Saga with this set from The Black Series. Jabba’s Rancor™ Pit includes highly articulated [3.75 inch] figures, all of which are featured in the epic Return of the Jedi scene where Jabba the Hut throws a Gamorrean Guard and Luke Skywalker into the Rancor Pit, while Princess Leia looks on in horror. This item will become available at Toys“R”Us stores later this year."

This is very exciting news, and quite innovative on the part of Toys”R”Us. It will ensure that even those Star Wars fans who are unable to attend this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, will be able to keep apprised of the newest and hottest merchandise being unveiled there.
