Star Wars: The Force Awakens – What we know so far

We are just under six months away from the premiere of the seventh film in the Star Wars franchise — J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. In usual Abrams fashion, not much has been revealed, officially, but there have been some J.J. approved photo-shoots, two teaser trailers, and a slew of leaked concept art, and most recently some leaked on-set character stills.

So, in celebration of the halfway mark to December 18, we take a look at everything we know about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. 

The excitement really began when StarWars.com released a photo of the principle cast, sitting in a room together, going over the script and hashing out ideas.

The photo wasn’t much, but most of the big names were there. You can see Mark Hamill talking to possibly Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Adam Driver discussing something with John Boyega, J.J. Abrams talking to Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher talking to Daisy Ridley. The stage had been set, anticipation began to anxiously escalate, and fans would begin to obsess over every little bit of information coming from J.J. Abrams’ camp.
