Star Wars: The Force Awakens – What we know so far

You heard his voice in the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer. “There has been an awakening…can you feel it? The Dark Side…and the Light.” Speculation and rumors ran rampant concerning just who or what Serkis was playing in the film. Well, when Vanity Fair got their opportunity to shoot on set photos of the actors in TFA, they saved this particular photo for when J.J. was ready to reveal it. Now we know, Andy Serkis will be portraying a character using MOCAP (motion capture), and his name will be Supreme Leader Snoke. Who is he and what are his intentions? Well obviously, if he can feel both sides of the Force, then it’s a safe assumption that Snoke is a very powerful Force user…probably an ancient Sith Lord. That’s just my uneducated guess, anyway.
