As the filming began, leaks and rumors started flooding every facet of the internet, and J.J. happily responded. This picture with a signed note from J.J. himself, was an answer to fans who claimed that the Millennium Falcon was in fact in the movie — a fact that had yet to be confirmed. As you can see, Abrams’ signed personal stationary sits atop the famous Dejarik game from the Falcon in Episode IV: A New Hope. This was a case of instantly endearing the fanbase to the director who had been considered the enemy to most Star Wars fans, as he directed two successful Star Trek movies…lens flare and all.
