Star Wars: The Force Awakens – What we know so far

One of the most exciting things to come from the Star Wars Celebration, was the amount of props and information on display. Costumes for Kylo Ren, a display of his lightsaber, and Rey’s Jakku outfit, were just a few of the many displays of eye candy for Star Wars fans at the convention.

As you can see, Kylo’s saber looks to be a more barbaric version of previous lightsabers shown in the Star Wars franchise. It definitely is not an elegant weapon made for a more civilized age. This lends legitimacy to the rumors that Kylo Ren is a renegade Force user who has no real master…no master to teach him how to properly craft his own lightsaber.

Then there were the names of the new factions for The Force Awakens: Resistance (formerly the Rebel Alliance), and First Order (formerly the Galactic Empire). This was a bit of a shock to most fans, as the

5assumption after the end of Return of the Jedi and the Battle for Endor, was that the Empire had fallen and the Rebel Alliance would once again establish the Galactic Republic with Leia running things as Queen Leia.
