Disney Infinity 3.0—Star Wars: Rise Against The Empire—Out Today!

Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm have announced today, the launch of Star War: Rise Against the Empire for their Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition. This new Play Set takes place during the original Star Wars trilogy, and is developed by Studio Gobo, in partnership with Avalanche Software. Players are able to play through the iconic moments and adventures from Star Wars Episodes IV through Episodes VI. The Play Set includes the characters, vehicles and locations from the Original Trilogies as well.

The Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire Play Set is available for $34.99 and includes the Play Set pieces, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa. Han Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader figures are also available and can be purchased separately for $13.99 each.

"In the Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set, players will embark on galaxy-spanning missions with legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker, Rebel leader Princess Leia Organa, heroic smuggler Han Solo and his trusty co-pilot Chewbacca to help defeat Darth Vader and overthrow the evil Galactic Empire. With non-stop action, players can explore open world planets like Tatooine on foot or on a Bantha, take down AT-AT walkers on snowspeeders on Hoth, out-maneuver stormtroopers on speeder bikes on Endor, and partake in epic space battles in an X-wing in attempt to destroy the Death Star."

According to their press release, Disney Interactive add that in addition to the characters playable in the Rise Against the Empire Play Set, players will be able to unlock and play with other Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Star Wars characters from other Star Wars Play Sets, as well.
