Comparing The Force Awakens Poster to the Previous 6 Star Wars Films

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is the first new live-action Star Wars film in 10 years, and boy are we due for a good one. This is probably my favorite Star Wars poster of the entire lot, because it has it all. But what I like most is the duality of the Dark Side and the Light, with Kylo Ren and Rey facing off, their weapons running parallel to each other. And, while Finn has what we believe to be Anakin and then Luke’s lost lightsaber, I do not think he is Force sensitive…but then again, I could be completely wrong.

We also have Captain Phasma front and center, leading a battalion of First Order stormtroopers. And of course, the nostalgic feeling of Han and Leia, very much looking like the wise elders of the bunch. My only issue with this poster is that there is no Luke. Perhaps J.J. Abrams is keeping that reveal a secret, for whatever reason, but we old-school Star Wars fans are starting to get nervous…where is Luke?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18, and the third and final trailer will be aired tonight, so stay tuned to Dork Side of the Force, as we bring you all the latest news and updates from that galaxy far, far away.
