Sunday was quite the busy day for Disney/Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise. The day kicked off with the official theatrical poster, and the announcement confirming that the third and final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens would drop during the Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles, on ESPN.
As the day went on, ESPN began to slowly release teasers…well, snippets really, for Monday night’s festivities. Some of the teasers are rehashed scenes from the previously released trailers, but there are some all new scenes, which have served to heighten the already feverpitched excitement for the final The Force Awakens trailer. All six HD quality videos come courtesy of YouTube channel CBR Trailers.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Teaser #1

Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Teaser #5
Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Teaser #6
Of note here, is that the characters seem to be on a completely different planet than that of Jakku, from the previous two trailers. I believe the planet they are on is Yavin 4, where a Resistance base is hidden, and possibly a Jedi Temple, or Maz Kanata’s castle. It also appears as if the First Order has found the Resistance, as Rey is looking up at a squadron of TIE Fighters and other First Order ships.
Then there’s Poe and Finn interacting with each other around an X-Wing squadron. Will Finn join Poe and the rest of his squadron, and pilot his very own X-Wing? There are so many questions left up in the air, and I hope we don’t get the answers until December 18, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters.
These teasers are pretty neat, and I’m excited to see the huge umbrella that is Disney, working to the advantage of Lucasfilm and Star Wars, by media blitzing the final trailer for The Force Awakens. ESPN and Monday Night Football will obviously come out of this as winners, as I’m sure the viewing audience will be super-inflated by Star Wars fans anxiously awaiting that trailer.
