Thanks to StarWars.com we have a first look at General Mills’ all new cereal line featureing the droids from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The General Mills cereals taking part in the Star Wars promotion are — Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Mini Trix, Reese’s Puffs, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Walmart-exclusive packages of Cookie Crisp — and they all have a special Droid Viewers that come free inside each box
According to SW.com, the cereals are available now:
"Each Droid Viewer comes in the form of a Star Wars: The Force Awakens droid — BB-8, C-3PO, R2-D2, the mouse droid, and the previously unseen B-U4D and PZ-4CO, all in a cool retro style — with an image from Star Wars: The Force Awakens hidden within."
There’s also an exclusive variant that will be available. To find it, look for an alternate BB-8 Droid Viewer, featuring movie-accurate colors, in specially-marked boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch at Target stores.
These are extremely cool, and give a look at previously unseen droids from The Force Awakens. You can see the entire gallery HERE, but they do include C-3PO with his red arm.
And here’s a box of Cookie Crisps with the First Order trooper wolf.
As you can see, for the first time ever, General Mills’ classic characters are dressing up as Star Wars iconic characters. Honey Nut Cheerios’ Buzz appears as Darth Vader, Mini Trix’s rabbit’s ears are in Leia buns, and more. Check it out below.
I guess it’s time to go out and collect all these General Mills boxes, because honestly they look extremely cool, and if they hold some secret The Force Awakens images, then I can imagine they will be very popular. Better hurry to the store before they’re all gone!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens worldwide in theaters on December 17 and 18.
