Ronda Rousey Refuses to Watch The Force Awakens Trailers

Ronda Rousey is about to defend her title and undefeated professional record to 13-0 on Saturday, when she steps into the Octagon against Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia where it is speculated the event will shatter the UFC’s live attendance record, as 70,000 Australians are expected to pack Etihad Stadium.

Strangely, the fight with Holm isn’t the only thing on Rousey’s mind, as Fansided found out when they interviewed the champ, because as it turns out, Ronda Rousey is quite the Star Wars fan. And, as Fansided soon learned, Rousey does not want to be spoiled…not even in the least bit.

"“I haven’t seen any of the trailers because I’m purposely not looking at anything because the last Star Wars that came out I was constantly looking at every single thing that came out. I won’t look at the pictures. I won’t watch the trailers because I want to just go watch it and be seeing everything for the first time”"

This isn’t the first time Rousey has made her stance known on spoilers. Back in October, she hilariously threatened to shank Hangover actor Ken Jeong for spoiling the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale, and the death of Jon Snow.

I love the fact that while Ronda Rousey is a complete badass, she is also a nerd at heart. And, the fact that she doesn’t want to have The Force Awakens spoiled for her, whether it’s trailers or pictures, means that she is invested in the story just like every fanboy and fangirl out there. Ronda Rousey is one of us.

Rousey goes on to admitting that she looked at everything before The Phantom Menace came out, and already knew about the planet Naboo before the movie was even released. On spoiling the film, Rousey says: “It would have been better if I would have done what I’m doing with this one.” We feel your pain, Ronda, we really do.
