Star Wars: The Force Awakens Stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega Interviewed on Good Morning America

Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley joined Robin Roberts on the set of Good Morning America to discuss the film.

As part of their press tour for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, newcomers (and fan favorites), Daisy Ridley and John Boyega joined Good Morning America for an interview. Host Robin Roberts asked the two how they felt about starring in a Star Wars film, and Boyega showcased his enthusiasm that has endeared him to Star Wars fans all over the globe. Roberts then asked Ridley about her response.

"“I came out and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool, and then in the car I was like [she makes crying noises here] the whole way, and then the whole way home…a 10 hour journey. It’s the first time I’ve ever really seen myself do something, so I was quite overwhelmed.”"

Ridley goes on to say that the film is “really exciting,” and that if she had a little sister, she would be pleased for her to see the film. This isn’t the first time we’ve Ridley and Boyega being interviewed together. The two actors have an undeniable chemistry that should translate quite well to the big-screen.

As for Boyega, he talks about Star Wars being back after a ten year hiatus:

"“It’s so good. It is so good. This is a great reminder that Star Wars is back after so long, and it’s a great balance between the new generation and the old.”"

He went on to say that the film is full of action and passion, that it’s “quite emotional,” and that he really enjoyed it. As for what the two would be doing if they weren’t acting, Boyega says that he would be a cartoonist because he loves to sketch and draw, and Ridley is starting her degree, next year. Boyega then jokingly went on to say that he would be on set while Ridley would be getting a higher education, he would be on set…then he asked if she would be there, and she responded with “I’ll be there sometimes.” Is this somehow an accidental slip that both of the stars will be reprising their roles for Episode VIII? Honestly, after watching Ridley and Boyega grow into their roles for The Force Awakens, I can’t imagine Episodes VIII and IX without them.
