In this newest content update to the game, players will be able to relocate to, and engage in conflicts on, the world of Takodana, as seen in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers. If you are unfamiliar with the planet of Takodana, it is the world where Maz Kanata’s castle is located.

As to the mercenary units that players will have access to, player vs player conflicts on the planet of Takodana, will battle for two new Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired mercenary units: The Dowutin Hunter, and Luggabeast Munitioner. Players will also earn the merc units as prizes for completing planetary objectives. These two new units will be permanently unlockable through a leveled-up Cantina and can be upgraded. Details of the new units and planet for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired update for Star Wars Commander includes:

  • Luggabeast Munitioner – Players can hire the armored Luggabeast Munitioner, based on the cybernetic-enhanced beast of burden in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to support their massive armies as they apply a damage buff to nearby friendly units.
  • Dowutin Hunter – Inspired by a new species unveiled in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Dowutin Hunters are lumbering infantry hired to dispatch enemy defending units with shock and awe, troops and vehicles alike. They carry a grip of thermal detonators and a modified starfighter blaster to ensure that the job gets done
