42. Star Wars Planets vs Star Trek Planets

While each genre has their own special brand of unique and exciting planets, Star Wars goes a step beyond Trek, in that entire world can be one gigantic city. These are called City Planets. Star Trek has planets like…Earth. This really isn’t a fair fight. In Star Wars, different factions and Alien Species can claim a whole world to themselves. Planets like Moraband nee-Korriban the ancient home of the Sith, and Sith Order. Or the planet Tython where the Jedi Order can trace its humble beginnings. Then there are those massive city-planets we mentioned, like Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa. Can you imagine living on a planet that was quite literally one colossal city?

We aren’t even getting into aquatic worlds like Kamino where the clones were produced, or Mon Cala/Dac where the Mon Calamari General Ackbar comes from. Then there is the desert planets of Tatooine and recently introduced Jakku from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. How about the ice planets of Hoth or Illum, where the Jedi once farmed the Kyber Crystals used in the fashioning of their lightsabers. Perhaps a forest moon is more your taste, well Endor has you covered. In the mood for some jungle exploration, travel to tropical local of Yavin 4, where many ancient Jedi and Sith temples reside.

Winner: Star Wars Planets…no contest.
