32. Rahm Kota

Major Appearances

  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Best Moment

No matter his flaws, Rahm Kota was instrumental in the birth of the Rebellion. That can’t go unnoticed in his life achievements, as it brought about another important figure for fans to familiarize themselves with from an era we don’t really know that much about. The gaps have been mostly filled in since the films were released, but Rahm’s involvement in the creation of the rebellion stands as his crowning achievement — far and away.

Worst Moment

It’s not just the bad guys who get done in by hubris. Rahm fought Starkiller for the first time ever and thought he was the superior warrior — something he was not so right about. Sure, he was distracted by the glimpse of the future he saw, but he wasn’t really being a true Jedi in his battle, and that hubris partially led to his being blinded.

Breakdown

We might seeing more of Rahm in Rouge One, but if his only involvement in the Star Wars story is what we learned in The Force Unleashed games, then that’s not a bad way to be remembered. He helped create the Rebellion, was an important guiding light in Starkiller’s character arc and confirmed to fans that more Jedi survived the purge than just Obi-Wan and Yoda .Rahm’s whole existence helped raise questions about what happened to other Jedi, which stoked the imagination of fans everywhere.
