Best Moment

If you think that Darth Vader’s best moment was killing the Emperor, you’re wrong. That’s the moment he became Anakin Skywalker again and killed Vader within in. So technically, Vader’s best moment was the moment right before that — when he committed schizophrenic suicide — ala Tyler Durden — and killed himself. George Lucas went uber philosophical with the original trilogy, and what’s more philosophical than killing your inner evil self to give way for rebirth?

Worst Moment

Vader wasn’t a really good guy, and he killed a lot of people a lot of times. But perhaps his worst moment was in Episode III, when a newly born Vader slaughtered younglings at the Jedi Temple. I mean, he killed kids — small kids who weren’t much older than 10, if that. You don’t get more savage than that.

Breakdown

Darth Vader is a badass — there’s no other way to put it. He is big, he’s bad, has a cool voice and is one of the most iconic things about the Star Wars saga. Not to mention, he’s basically the center of the first six movies, as they’re pretty much the story of Anakin’s rise, fall and then redemption. Vader plays a huge role in that, but beyond the story he’s just undeniably cool on all levels of pop culture.
