3. Cad Bane

Cad Bane is the embodiment of what made the Clone Wars such a good cartoon. It wasn’t a childish show. It’s themes were complex, it’s action engaging, and it’s villains legitimate and scary.

Cad Bane is the best villain of the show and one of the best in the lore. No one, not even some of the villains with the Force, could play the Jedi like Bane did. He’s basically like evil sci-fi alien Batman. He has no Force power. He relies on cunning and his technological prowess to gain the advantage and complete his missions. I mean, he robbed the freaking Jedi temple.

On top of that, he manages to escape the Jedi several times. Oh yeah, and he survives “The Box”when the only other person who could survive that tournament was a Jedi is disguise. He just is a level above everyone else, particularly anyone else without the Force.

He also is a very intimidating character because he shows no emotion. He doesn’t feel a strong sense of rage like many of the Sith, and he does not seem to care about anyone or anything but completing his mission. His cold red eyes are exactly what a character like that needs. His robotic vioce is also perfect. The outfit, despite making him look like a space cowboy, also fits well.

Most of the villains in this universe are evil because of moral concepts about good and bad.  Bane doesn’t need any of that philosophy stuff. He just wants to kill things and make money, and he is by far the best at it. Simple.
