Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been breaking box office records even before it was released. Track them all here.

We probably should have seen this coming. Given the beloved nature of the Star Wars franchise in general and the optimism about its chances for a creative revival under the guidance of J.J. Abrams, it was always possible that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was going to sell tickets like nothing we’ve ever seen before.

That said, you never really know what’s going to happen at the box office until a movie is actually out, and since the general public was only lukewarm on Episodes I-III, there was always a chance The Force Awakens would be a garden variety blockbuster. That is, it would make Disney plenty of money, but not establish itself as a true force (no pun intended).

Instead, the best case scenarios have pretty much all come true. Audiences have flocked to The Force Awakens in unprecedented numbers, breaking records right out of the gate. Here, while we’ll pull info from great sites like Box Office Mojo, we’ll track all of the records the movie has broken in one convenient place.
