Disney and Lucasfilm has released a brand new sneak peek at two of the deleted scenes you will be able to see from the home release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on digital April 1, and on Blu-ray April 5th…

We are two weeks away from the digital and Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Disney/Lucasfilm has released a sneak peek at two of the deleted scenes from the film. One features Kylo Ren aboard the Millennium Falcon, and the other features Maz Kanata, Finn, Han and Chewie, as they are trapped in basement of Maz’s castle, just as the First Order breaks through. Check it out:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens deleted scenes will include:

  • Finn and the Villager
  • Jakku Message
  • X-Wings Prepare for Lightspeed
  • Kylo Searches The Falcon
  • Snow Speeder Chase
  • Finn Will Be Fine
  • Tunnel Standoff — Special bonus deleted scene only on Digital HD or by redeeming the digital copy included in your Blu-ray Combo Pack.

The Kylo Ren aboard the Falcon scene should be especially powerful, seeing as how his standoff with Han ended with his father falling dead from the bridge over the chasm in Starkiller base. I know the scene comes before, but I wonder if Kylo knew what he had to do, once he board the ship.

The special digital scene should be fun, as it shows Han talking his way out of a particularly tough situation. This is the scene that J.J. Abrams decided to change from Maz using to Force to being the ceiling down on top of the Stormtroopers, to something else.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes home to Digital HD on April 1, and Blu-ray/DVD on April 5.
