Is this the Title of Star Wars: Episode VIII?

There is a video circulating Reddit, which shows a banner at the preparations for Star Wars Celebration in Europe, and in this video, the banner clearly displays a new Star Wars title. The question is: Is this the title for Star Wars: Episode VIII?

Supposedly, some fans in London happened by a poster near or at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, where the Star Wars Celebration will be hosted this year, and they took a video of an all new and mysterious Star Wars title.

They quickly uploaded said video to Vidme, then posted it to Reddit, and the internet did the rest. Now everyone wants to know: Is this the new title for Star Wars: Episode VIII?

Okay, if that is the actual title, then I’m okay with that. You won’t hear me nerd-raging out over the fact that somebody isn’t attacking someone, or striking back against something (Attack of the Clones, Empire Strikes Back), but there’s a larger question to ask here:

WHY WOULD A POSTER FOR STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII THAT REVEALS THE FILM’S ACTUAL TITLE JUST POP UP TWO WHOLE MONTHS AHEAD OF THE ACTUAL STAR WARS CELEBRATION?

I think the real answer is, some clever chaps made a poster from the Star Wars Celebration logo — that can easily be found online — and then made a video like they were on the street in front of the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre. Then they spliced in sound from another fan convention to make it actually sound legit, and posted it to the internet. Once the internet ha you sir, there is no going back.

All in all, tis a good fake, and if it somehow turns out to be legit, then I’ll apologize to…okay, I’ll apologize to no one, because this is the internet, and no one cares. The moral of the story is thus: The closer we get to the premiere of Rogue One and Star Wars: Episode VIII, more and more fakes will begin to pop-up all over the internet, it’s not falling for the trolls, that eventually will slow them down.
