Eight Possibilities for Episode VIII at Star Wars Celebration

4 of 9

During the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, last year, the first standalone Star Wars film title was revealed, along with the above concept art. Of course, we know that film was Rogue One, which will debut worldwide this December.

However, if Disney/Lucasfilm wants to keep to a structured release, then it could in fact, release some concept art and a pseudo-trailer like they did with Rogue One, last year.  Although, with Star Wars: Episode VIII being part of the main trilogy, I do not think it would be relegated to concept art and voice-overs.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved hearing Sir Alec Guinness’ voice as he talked about the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic, as the camera slowly panned up to the Death Star hanging in orbit above that planet, but I just feel like Episode VIII needs more refinement.
