For the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, Myth Busters’ Adam Savage went Incognito as Star Wars: The Force Awakens villain, Kylo Ren…

Disney/Lucasfilm may have reduced its Star Wars presence at San Diego Comic-Con, but that hasn’t stopped fans of the franchise from cosplaying as characters, on the convention floor. This year, for his annual incognito walk through the SDCC show floor, Adam Savage departed from his usual routine, and suited up from a booth in the exhibit hall.

Savage dressed as Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and strolled out to meet other Star Wars cosplayers, as well as visiting the Lucasfilm booth,  to see the displays and collectibles, up close and personal. Check out the video:

I love how Savage’s team from Tested, really went all-out on the Kylo Ren costume. In all honesty, he looks like Adam Driver in The Force Awakens, as Kylo Ren, to me.

Walking around the San Diego Comic-Con floor in all that costume had to be a tall-task, as you can hear Savage say it was over 10lbs of fabric and costume material (costume by Anovos). Nothing says Dark Side user than all that black.

As you can see, at time, Savage even walks with that signature Kylo Ren gate; a tendency to limp. The only thing he’s missing is Kylo Ren’s now iconic cross-guard lightsaber…which I’m not sure why he wouldn’t at the very least get a model of one.

If you’re going to go through all the trouble of having such a detailed and amazing costume — cosplaying as Kylo Ren — then you should complete the look with his lightsaber. All-in-all, Savage did a fantastic job, and this is just one of the reasons he’s a banner-carrying-member of the nerd community. We love him dearly.
