Imagine avoiding spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens for this long, and when you finally get to see the film on Blu-ray, with your family and friends, your childhood hero dies at the hands of his own son…

According to KSL.com, a lifelong Star Wars fan by the name of Christine Standish was anxiously awaiting the moment she could finally watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens, after her return from her mission trip to New Zealand for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Christine had avoided any and all spoilers for The Force Awakens, during her time in New Zealand, which is an amazing feat unto itself. And, when she finally returned home, her best friend Emily Demke, decided to Standish’s reaction to the death of Han Solo.  Check it out:

“This is so ridiculous why did everybody say this was a great movie?”

As you can see from Christine’s reaction, after Han was killed by Kylo Ren, she wrongly thought that Chewbacca had died, as well, which just added to her pain.

Christine’s friend did shed some light on why she had such an emotional reaction to Han’s death:

"“Christine has always had a passion for Star Wars. As a young child, her imaginary friends were Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and she watched the movies on a regular basis…. I knew that she had no idea about Hans unexpected death and that this would be tragic for her. So naturally I filmed it, and tried to suppress my own laughter, as she found out her childhood hero’s fate.”"

Don’t worry Christine, we were all there with you…only, we went through our stages of grief way back in December of 2015. Welcome to the Kylo Ren haters club. We’ve got two more films, and I’m sure plenty of reasons to hate him even more.

I love videos like this, even though it came at the expense of someone’s heart being ripped from their chest. I do want to give Christine props, though, as she was able to keep spoiler free for such a long time…there’s no way I would be able to avoid the spoilers…I just can’t seem to help myself.
