Check out these official Rogue One posters from South Korea and Japan

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is just 90 days away from its worldwide theatrical debut and South Korea and Japan have released official posters for the film…

The official Star Wars Twitter account has revealed two official Rogue One: A Star Wars Story movie posters from South Korea and Japan. They are different from their US and UK counterparts, but they do have some similarities to the ones we’ve already seen.

The first poster shows the Rebel team in what appears to be the Death Star-chamber that Jyn Erso is seen in, in the original trailer for the film.

As you can see in the poster above, the Rebel team seems to be creeping aboard the Death Star. I don’t know how accurate that is, as we only know of a few of the team actually making it aboard the Empire’s super weapon.

The next poster is of Jyn Erso herself, standing on the planet Scarif, with the Death Star looming large in the background above her.

Scarif is a tropical planet used by the Empire in the construction of the first Death Star. Because the Death Star orbited Scarif, the Empire built a military installation there. The planet has an orbiting docking station that houses several Star Destroyers, and it is protected by a deflector shield that covers the entire world.

In theaters, December 16, later this year, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is the first standalone Star Wars film from Lucasfilm and Disney. Here’s the official StarWars.com synopsis:

"In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves."
