Actor Diego Luna plays Captain Cassian Andor, an  Intelligence officer with combat field experience within the Rebel Alliance. Captain Andor has earned the respect from the men and women who have served under him, by keeping a cool head when under fire, and by having the uncanny ability to complete his missions with the most minimal of resources.

Cassian has contacts in Jedha, and it is he and his reprogrammed Imperial droid, Kaytoo (K-2SO) that take Jyn Erso to that planet to find her father, if he is there, and the Death Star plans, and bring them back to the Rebellion. For now, it seems as if Jyn’s and Cassian’s fates are intertwined, as each trailer we’ve seen has shown them facing the Empire together.
