Admiral Raddus is a very strong figure in Rogue One, and when creature effects supervisor Neal Scanlan began to visualize him, he thought of one man, Winston Churchill. Scanlan used Churchill as a visual reference for Admiral Raddus’ physical features, and also when it came to performing him and expressing him through the actor, as well. As you can see from the photo, Scanlan’s team got the visual part down perfectly. Now we wait until December 16, to see if the actual character is like Churchhill. Here’s hoping he is.
