The TIE Striker was a streamlined version of the TIE Fighters used by the Empire, during the battle of Scarif. The Striker was built for in-atmosphere missions and was identifiable by its horizontal wings and large pod. The TIE striker’s flat, pointed wings were specially designed for in-atmosphere combat, but it was also useful for moving supplies and Imperial personnel from orbit to Scarif’s surface, because of it’s large central pod.
