The AT-ACT is functional and badass and is a larger version of the standard combat AT-AT. The AT-ACT features a cargo bed for the transportation of heavy building materials or combat munitions, which is especially handy on the planet Scarif, since that is where we see the walker used most in Rogue One, and Scarif is the Empire’s military construction facility. The AT-ACT walker was often deployed at major Imperial construction projects, such as shipyards and large research installations, much like the Death Star project on the planet surface of Scarif.
