Everything You Need to Know About Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Looks like, from this photo above, a screenshot taken from a recent Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer, Grand Moff Tarkin will, in fact, be a part of the film in some fashion. It makes perfect sense if you think about it. Tarkin is the man behind the Death Star’s operations in A New Hope, and it is he who orders the destruction of Alderaan. So, for continuity’s sake, yes, of course, Tarkin was always going to be in Rogue One, and this should not have come as any sort of a surprise to you.

Sadly, since the actor who played Tarkin in 1977, Peter Cushing, passed away in 1994, he won’t be reprising the role…well, not technically. Many rumors have it that Cushing’s Tarkin will somehow be digitally recreated in the film, along with the very real acting from a well-known actor.
