I’m sorry to have to inform there will not be a sequel Rogue One. I take that back. If you’re a Star Wars fan you probably have this on a shelf somewhere, or you know that AMC has it on-demand, so grab Star Wars: A New Hope…that’s right, the 1977 film from George Lucas that started this all, and watch the film from beginning to end. There, you’ve just watched the sequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed will not be a Rogue Two, just in case you didn’t take my sarcasm with a grain of sugar, as did the director of Rogue One, Gareth Edwards:

“That sequel will be directed by George Lucas.”

There you have it. Even the director of Rogue One is making jokes about it, so can we all just move on now? This doesn’t mean that certain characters from the film won’t survive to live on and make appearances in all-new Star Wars films later, it just means there will be no Rogue Two.
