…PG-13 for extended sequences of sci-fi violence and action. As our own Elain Tveit pointed out, Rogue One has been marketed as a war movie since its was announcement back in 2015. Also, if you will remember, Revenge of the Sith was rated PG-13 in 2005, as was The Force Awakens in 2015. In the future, we fully expect Star Wars: Episode VIII and the Han Solo standalone movie to get the same rating.

If the rumors of Darth Vader’s violent battle sequences against the rebels are true, as well as what Orson Krennic is capable of, then the PG-13 rating is more than well deserved for Rogue One.
