The Official Chinese Trailer for Rogue One Brings Us The Most Complete Look At The Film Yet
Lucasfilm has released the official Chinese trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and it gives us the most complete look at the film yet…
We are a mere eight days away from the worldwide premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the very first Star Wars standalone film, and it seems as if Lucasfilm just keeps releasing new teasers, TV spots, and trailers every day. To that end, the official Chinese trailer for Rogue One has finally been released, and it brings us the most complete look at the film that we’ve seen yet. Check it out:
As you can see, the official Chinese trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story seems to have taken all the short, clipped scenes from the many mini-teasers we’ve seen over the past month, and it has turned them into one smooth cinematic cut.
Obviously, the beautiful scenes of the great temple on Yavin 4 are definitely eye-catching, but we have seen the temple in many, many trailers. What stands out to me is Alan Tudyk’s Kaytoo shooting an Imperial Stormtrooper as he comes through the door, no-look of course.
Then there’s the Chirrut and Baze scenes. For a blind monk, Chirrut Îmwe seems to get around just fine. “He’s blind.” Yes, Stormtrooper, please assume the blind man is completely harmless. This is part of the reason we all laugh at you.
Finally, the part where Chirrut uses his lightbow bowcaster to shoot an Imperial TIE Fighter down. A TIE Fighter, by the way, that is hotly pursuing an X-Wing. How does his make this shot so accurately? The Force maybe?
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters in just eight days. Are you ready? If not, we’ve got the perfect primer just for you:
