Prequel and Original Trilogy side characters need to be present in Rogue One.
We’ve known for some time that Mon Mothma played by Genevieve O’Reilly would be in the Rogue One, and she actually covers both the Prequel era, as well as the Original era, as different actresses have played the character in both trilogies. Then we have Senator Bail Organa played by Jimmy Smits, who will be a perfect tie-in from the prequels.
We’ve also seen X-Wing pilots that look like both Biggs Darkilghter and Jek Porkins in photos for Rogue One, which we be an awesome link to A New Hope. The question on everyone’s mind now is: Will Princess Leia, along with C-3PO and R2-D2 make appearances in the film?
