For months now, Star Wars fans have been obsessively pouring over the many, many Rogue One trailers, teasers, and television spots that have been released, in the hopes of finding some sort of clue as to who will be in the film — besides the main cast — and if there might be any surprising scenes that will be talked about for the entire year leading up to the next Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode VIII.

It worked for The Force Awakens‘ mysteries, and I’m sure it will work for Rogue One. But what do we really want to see in Rogue One? Here are our thoughts on the five things we need to see in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story:

Prequel and Original Trilogy side characters need to be present in Rogue One.

We’ve known for some time that Mon Mothma played by Genevieve O’Reilly would be in the Rogue One, and she actually covers both the Prequel era, as well as the Original era, as different actresses have played the character in both trilogies. Then we have Senator Bail Organa played by Jimmy Smits, who will be a perfect tie-in from the prequels.

We’ve also seen X-Wing pilots that look like both Biggs Darkilghter and Jek Porkins in photos for Rogue One, which we be an awesome link to A New Hope. The question on everyone’s mind now is: Will Princess Leia, along with C-3PO and R2-D2 make appearances in the film? And we know the answer to that, but to keep this as spoiler free as possible, we will just point you to this link and let you decide for yourself.
