2. The rebel leader in the first teaser trailer is Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels. – DEBUNKED
Star Wars Rebels fans thought they spotted an older version of the Imperial-turned- secret rebel informant Agent Kallus in the first Rogue One teaser trailer. Alas, while it would have been cool to get that obvious of a reference to Rebels right out of the gate, the character in the trailer is an entirely new one. Gareth Edwards himself confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the name of the new character is General Draven, not Kallus. Though Draven and Kallus share a similar accent and hair color, once again I must refer to the Jyn Erso is Rey’s mother theory: just because two characters look and sound alike doesn’t mean they are the same person or related to one another in such a big galaxy.
