3. Darth Vader is in the bacta tank. – UNCONFIRMED
There are several clues supporting this theory. First, the bacta tank is guarded by the Emperor’s personal Red Guards, which indicates the person in the tank is of high-level Imperial importance. Vader certainly fits this bill. Second, a prop which looks like Anakin Skywalker’s mutilated post-Mustafar body was spotted in a Rogue One creatures featurette. The fan theory is that Vader requires rehab from time to time, and that he undergoes one of these rehab stints in Rogue One. It makes sense considering how beat up Anakin was after his fight with Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith. Wounds like that must need constant care, especially in between extreme physical exertions like fighting rebels.
